NITI for Chrome

Privacy Policy

How NITI handles your information.

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Overview

NITI is a personal task planner for Chrome and Chromium-based Edge. Its core features work without an account or cloud synchronization. This policy covers the extension and the NITI service pages.

Information stored in your browser

Tasks, projects, goals, notes, reminders, daily focus, and import records are stored in the extension's IndexedDB. Language, appearance, and other preferences are stored in browser-local storage. NITI uses this information to show and manage your plan and deliver reminders. The extension does not send this workspace data to our servers.

Browser permissions

Alarms schedule reminder checks; notifications show reminders you set; storage saves local settings; and tabs finds or focuses the NITI dashboard tab. NITI does not read the contents of other tabs or collect browsing history.

Optional Zenkit import

If you start a Zenkit import, NITI asks for access to base.zenkit.com and sends your pasted API key to Zenkit over HTTPS to read the lists you select. The key remains in the import dialog and is not saved. Imported content is copied to your local NITI workspace; there is no ongoing synchronization.

Feedback and uninstall forms

If you choose to submit feedback or answer the uninstall survey, Google Forms processes the information you enter and we receive your response. Google may also process technical or account information under its own privacy policy. NITI does not attach your tasks, projects, or extension settings to these forms.

Service pages and analytics

The NITI service pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. Your browser requests these pages from GitHub, which may process connection data under its own policy. The pages save your language choice in browser local storage. Google Analytics 4 is currently disabled; no GA4 script is loaded. We will update this policy before enabling it.

Use and sharing

We use local workspace data only to provide the planner features. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. Optional external features, including Zenkit import and feedback forms, handle only the information described above. You choose where to save an exported backup.

Your choices and retention

You can edit or delete tasks in NITI, export a backup, or clear the extension's data through your browser. Uninstalling NITI or clearing its site data removes the local workspace; a backup file you exported remains wherever you saved it. Form responses are retained by Google services according to the form configuration; contact us about a response using the address below.

Security and changes

Core task data stays in your browser rather than on a NITI server. Optional connections use HTTPS. Anyone with access to your browser profile or an exported backup may be able to read your data, so protect both. We will post policy changes here and update the date above.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

NITI's use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use that information only to provide the features described here and do not transfer it for advertising or unrelated purposes.
